The Corrective Home for Wayward Girls

Much of the entertainment value of this film is centred around world building. My job as the sound designer was to carry this through sonically. The story is set in a dystopian mental hospital where troublesome girls are institutionalised so they can be ‘corrected’. We find out that this institution is more like a prison corrupted by violence and power.

The film was troubled with high wind as we were shooting right next to the sea, however by communicating with the director and DOP, we could re-work the shots using more sheltered areas.
