‘To You I Leave’ follows  a grieving boy who in order to afford his dad’s funeral, must decide whether or not to sell the family car. Throughout the film, we see the decision maturing within him through multiple conversations with the people closest to him.

The sound design needed to be subtle and restrained yet supportive of the sensitive plot, finely balanced to not stand out or distract from the heart-warming story.

Challenging background noise conditions while shooting next to Bournemouth airport in a storm were addressed with on-set sound mitigation as well as post-production noise reduction, finishing up with satisfyingly clean audio as a base for the sound design.
